Bruce J. Holmes (BSAE, '72, MSAE, '73, DE, '76) and wife Connie K. (Waetzig, BS-Ed, '70) recently moved to Williamsburg, Virginia, from their home of 30 years in Newport News, VA. Bruce was appointed last year to the Senior Executive Service in the position of Director for Strategic Partnerships, Planning and Management at NASA Langley Research Center ( http://www.nasa.gov/centers/langley/ ). He continues his work in support of the emerging small aircraft transportation system industry ( http://sats2005.com ). Bruce completed an extended assignment in 2004 at the Next Generation Air Transportation System Joint Planning and Development Office in Washington DC ( http://www.jpdo.aero ), where he directed strategic development for the transformation of U.S. air transportation. Bruce and Connie's son, Bryan, is studying for a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Vermont; and their son, Matthew (BS, Clemson) in the recreation industry in Boulder, Colorado.

William B. ("Bernie") Herpin, Jr., '73, has been selected at the Vice Chairman of the Colorado Springs (Colorado) Airport Advisory Commission. The members of the Commission are appointed by the Colorado Springs City Council to advise them and the airport staff on land use in the vicinity of the airport, long range planning for the airport, and airport operations.

Eugene L. Bollin recently retired as manager of the systems & flight test branch of the FAA Aircraft Certification Office (ACO) in January 2005. He moved to Florida and started Aircraft Certification Services Inc.
