Aerospace Engineering Computer Lab Rules


The computers in the Aerospace Engineering computer labs should be used for academic purposes only.Access to the labs and computers is limited to students enrolled in Aerospace Engineering courses. If you share your access information, your privileges in the lab will be revoked.

When class is in session, users who are not in the class must leave the room with your belongings.Once a class begins, you will not be allowed back into the lab until after class.

Food is not allowed on the side of the computer labs. Violation will result in account suspension.

Users are financially responsible for any damage due to reckless behavior, and are obligated to report such damage.

The computers in the labs have been configured for the convenience of most of our students.Attempts to interfere with the computer configuration will result in loss of lab privileges.Do not attempt to install software on computers.

The computer lab door should be kept closed at all times to prevent unauthorized access.

Do not leave the room without logging out from your account.You are responsible for unauthorized activities while you are logged in.

If damage or loss of service occurs, whoever notices is obligated to send an e-mail to the Lab Director, Wes Ellison, at ellison@ku.edu.

Any issues with the conditions of the room should be reported to the AE office.Examples are temperature issues, trash not being emptied, floors not being cleaned, etc.

The School of Engineering and the AE department are not responsible for lost data. 

Always Back up your Data to External Storage.

Change your KU password frequently.

Do not give your KUID card to anyone.
