SAE Heavy Lift team reaches Sweet 16 in AeroDesign West Competition

 

The KUAE Heavy Lift team traveled to Van Nuys, California for the 2012 SAE AeroDesign West Competition, 23-25 March. The main competition was the torrential rain, but the AeroHawks placed 15th overall out of 63 competitors.

The spirit of camaraderie among aviators even overcame the cross-state rivalry KU-Kansas State as KU cheered on their now-friends from Kansas State and the Wildcats were seen cheering on the AeroHawks.
